Meet Dr. Jennifer Roberts
Dr. Jennifer Roberts, LPC-S, CSC is a passionate child therapist who helps kids feel seen, supported, and understood. With nearly 20 years of experience in public schools and mental health, she brings a deep understanding of how children grow, learn, and cope - both in and out of the classroom.
Dr. Roberts specializes in therapy for children and teens ages 6 to 21, meeting each young person right where they are. Whether it’s through play therapy or more structured sessions (such as CBT or Solution-Focused Therapy), each session is thoughtfully tailored to fit the child’s unique needs and personality. Her therapeutic approach blends experiential and somatic (body-based) techniques to help children process emotions and build resilience. She also works closely with families and groups, believing that true healing happens when we support the whole child and their community.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Roberts teaches graduate counseling students at Liberty University and Houston Christian University, shaping the next generation of therapists. She serves on the Texas Education Agency’s HB906 School Mental Health Task Force and speaks nationally and internationally on the importance of embracing the whole child in school communities. In 2023, she was honored as the Texas School Counselor Supervisor of the Year as recognition of her dedication to leadership, advocacy, and the well-being of children.
Above all, Dr. Roberts creates a warm, trusting space where kids and teens can grow, heal, and thrive. Therapy with her isn’t just treatment - it’s a journey built on connection, trust, and transformation.
