Dr. Varkey is a licensed psychologist and licensed school psychologist who has spent her career working with children and families in both schools and private practice. Since 2017, she has worked with children from early childhood through high school, giving her a unique perspective on the many ways children’s needs can show up at home, at school, and with friends.

Dr. Varkey enjoys helping families better understand what is behind their child’s struggles, whether that means difficulty with attention, behavior, learning, emotions, or social relationships. She has experience evaluating and supporting children with ADHD, autism, anxiety, learning differences, and a variety of developmental and emotional concerns.

One of Dr. Varkey’s favorite parts of her work is helping parents feel more confident in knowing what to do next. She believes that recommendations should be more than a list of things to try; they should be practical strategies that actually fit into your family’s everyday life. She has supported parents of children with ADHD and autism with behavior strategies, positive parent-child interactions, and tools for building social-emotional skills at home.

Dr. Varkey also understands that figuring out how to support your child at school can feel overwhelming. With her background as a school psychologist, she enjoys helping families understand their child’s needs, navigate the school system, and advocate for appropriate supports through 504 Plans and IEPs.

Whether she is conducting an evaluation, working with a child, or coaching a parent, Dr. Varkey takes the time to really understand the whole picture. She brings a warm, thoughtful, and practical approach to her work and wants families to leave feeling like they have a better understanding of their child—and a clearer idea of what to do next.
